This program (contingent on approved funding from NSF) provides a ten-week intensive research experience, with on-site activities from May 31, 2010 through July 30, 2010 to upper-level undergraduates (summer prior to junior or senior year) who plan on advanced degrees in Chemistry or  Biochemistry. Stipends for the program are $3,500; free room and board are also provided. In addition to the research program, students will attend seminars by faculty members and other chemical professionals who will discuss recent advances in chemical research as well as employment opportunities for chemists, biochemists and chemical engineers. Tours of local industry are also planned as part of the program.

The last date for review of applications will be March 19, 2010.  Please fill out the Application, then print, scan and email the scanned application to zwilson@lsu.edu. Applications will be reviewed as received so please submit as early as possible.  Participants will be notified of acceptance by about April 16, 2010.
