Subject: Re[2]: Genealogy Dear Roger, Well, I am certainly glad for the information you have given me and the corrections. As you may have gathered, I didn't do much besides dig through a lot of notes and post the work that mother's father had done in collecting data and some other information that my mother has put together from people she corresponded with. You are the first person to have commented on the information. I assume that some others have found something of value there.
If you have any web links to other information such as the descendants of Mary Elizabeth (Wilkerson) Haines, I would be glad to put those links into my pages.
I ask your permission to post a copy of your e-mail message at an appropriate spot on my site. Also interesting to find a connection to Zinn in the Connely tree.
Not a direct link to my fathers father but perhaps some relatives that came
over earlier. -bz- ______________________________ Reply Separator _________________________________
Subject: RE: Genealogy Author: "Roger Connelly"
Bob, I can't help you with your ancestors, mainly I wanted to thank you for posting all your WILKERSON stuff on the web.
Mary Elizabeth (Wilkerson) Haines (1831-1874) married into one of my lines. Her husband, John Williamson Haines (1826-1913), was a s/o Reuben & Nancy (Connely) Haines - I share genes with Nancy.
Although you don't give Mary a number (eg, Presley's #6), you discuss her just a fter your Milton so I'm assuming she is a d/o Presley & Polly (Searcy) Wilkerson. I didn't know who Mary's parents were until I saw your work.
A few other comments:
1. In the 2nd paragraph you say "...sent by Mrs. N. D. Owen-Aldrich, Polk, Co. Mo., (a Haines daughter?) ...". This must be Martha (Haines) Owen (1867-1952), wife of Nelson David Owen (1871-1950), and d/o Mary Elizabeth (Wilkerson) Haines, so you could remove the question mark.
2. In the genealogy section for Mary Elizabeth (Wilkerson) Haines you say her husband was born near Zenia, Ohio. This should be Xenia.
3. In the Mary Jane Haines (Holder) genealogy section it says for her 7th child "Mary Jane Mosely (teacher and housewife) (her son Robert Mosely is near-famous T.V. - radio personality Guy Madison). Mary Jane's husband D. at the age of 35-40. " But her husband, Benjamin J Moseley (1893-1982), lived to be 88 (I just recently learned this from a granddaughter of Benjamin & Mary) so I would delete the D. at the age of 35-40 part.
The only Zinn I have in my CONNELY genealogy is Rachel Etta (Zinn) Logan (1850 OH-1944 OK), d/o Abraham & Lydia A. (Hawk) Zinn.
Thanks again for sharing your genealogy with us all.
