Dear Sally:
I have had a copy made of the old family pictures of Presley Wilkerson and his wife Polly Searcy Wilkerson, My Great Grand parents, your Great Great and for Pat and Bob, three greats.
So now I have the original pictures, and the negatives and you have the only pictures that have been made from these negatives.
No doubt there are many relatives who would like to have a print from these negatives. I thought I had better do this for if I did not and the original was lost no one would have a picture of them.
Presley Wilkerson came from Kentucky to Missouri in 1816, Grandfather Milton B. Wilkerson was born in Columbia in 1830.
All the children of Presley and Polly are dead, and most of the Grandchildren, only Sallie Moss Wilkerson Wright, Pet and Kelly are living.
I recently heard of the death by drowning of George and Vera Hollis, in Colorado, a big double funeral in Columbia about the first of this month.
It is very hot here and a lot of moisture in the air. Minnie was OK
the last word I have from her.
Write her as often as you can, she can send the letter on to me. This
time next week, my plans are to be in St. L. for Grand Lodge. will be glad
when it is over. I expect to go from St. L. to Rolla, before coming back
here.
Dear Sally you don’t know how I wish I could see you all. It seems just like a dream that you have been here. I miss you all so much. I am glad that Bob is better, I wish that Pad and bob could come and get in bed with me and I could love them and have a good long talk.
How is Pats Brist did it get all-right I have worried about it. I hope you all are well, I would like to see your new home, lot and lots of love to all, Kiss Pat and Bob for me and tell them that I love them lots.
Does bob like his school there.
Love
Mother
