Tueaday May 12 - Arrive Denver 7 A.M. Leave Denver 8:30 A.M. Arrive Cheyenne 1P.M. Leave Cheyenne 6P.M.

Wednesday May 13 - Granger 6 A.M.

Thursday May 14 - Pooatells 1:30 P.M. Huntingtan 11 P.M. Cross Mount Range abt. 12 at night.

Friday May 15 - Pendleton 6 A.M. Portland 2 P.M. Stop at Central Hotel Go to park (very fine)

Saturday May 16 - Robert W & C.B.W. go to see Uncle James Bybee & take dinner at Vancouver 2 to 5 PM Portland for supper 6:#0 P.M. - Leave Portland 8:30 A.M. Seattle 5 P.M. Stop at Alaska hotel The train was ferried across river at Kalama

Sunday May 17 - Red. first letter 9 A.M.(from Agnes)

Monday May 18 - Went with Spyers to take Gold to the Assay Office

Tuesday May 19 - Recvd. letter from Agnes Rained

Wednesday Way 20 - Rob & CBW went to the beach and picked up some shells

Thursday May 21 - Rob $ CBW walked Cherry st. to 35 Ave, then to park on Lake Washington and back on Union St·

Friday May 22 - Recvd. letter from Agnes Bought some goods for Alaska wear. Steamer Spokane leaves to meet President

Saturday May 23 - Seen President[of the USA]arrive at Seattle on Steamer Spokane at 1:30 P.M. March through streets abt. 2:00 He was saluted by firing. of guns and canons & gun boats

Sunday May 24 - Visited Green Lak de Woodland Park Crossed Union Lake on street car.

Monday May 25 - Robert & CBW visited the Artificial Lake the water spouts about 50 or 60 feet high

Tuesday May 26 - Bought tickets to Dawson

Wednesday May 27 - Rec'd. letter from Agnes & Pa Leave Seattle for Skagway on Steamer Seattle 9 P.M.

Thursday May 28 - Vancouver B.C. 9 to 12 A.M. Seen Sea Gulls & light house 4 P.M. Sailing in gulf of George Seymour narrows 9 P.M.

Friday May 29 - Queen Charlotte Sound 5 A.M. First Totem Pole 11 A.M. Rough water at noon. Will Bank Sound 6 P.M. White Hill 7 P.M.

Saturday May 30 - Dixen entrance 5 AM. Rough water 8 A.M. (sick) Fort Wrangle 2 P.M. (stay 1 hr.) Wrangle Narrows 4 ta 6 P.M. Seen boat Colorado 6 P.M. Sunk 1896 Seen Galacier 8 P.M.

Sunday May 31 - June 7 A.M. Douglas Isle 9 A,M. spent (?) hrs in Treadwell gold mines seen Porpoise 3 P.M. landed Skagway 7:300 P.M.

Monday June 1 - Steamer Alki the first boat to carry gold from Alaska met Mrs. Butler.

Tuesday June 2 - Robert & CBW went up on the mountain went to R. Read Shops Seen Ranch & Greenhouse

Wednesday June 3 - Seen a woman ride astride ( a mule)

Thursday June 4 - Rob & CBW went up the mourtain, snow balled & shot a mosquito & seen trees with whiskers

Friday June 5 - Ate a hearty Breakfast dinner & supper

Saturday June 6 - Climed mountain Seen Lake water falls and fished for trout

Sunday June 7 - Seen Baseball played in evening: and went to church at night.

Monday June 8 - Went to Salvation Army after Supper (we board at Occidental Hotel)

Tuesday June 9 - Henry, Sallie & Alaska landed in Skagway 4 P.M. came on Steamer Cottage City

Wednesday June 10 - Shook from Earth Quake 5 A.M.

Thursday June 11 - Leave Skagway 10 A.M, See White Pass Canion can see Skagway 11:30 AIM. Lake Bannet 1 P·M. White Horse 5 P,M,

Friday June 12 - Visit W.H. rapids seen canion A man & woman drowned in Rapids 6 days before we visited it. Leave W.H.SP.M. On Columbian Boat

Saturday June 13 - Stuck on Sand bar in morning enter Lake Labarge 2 P.M. Enter Thirty mile river 5 P.M. lots of Ice.

Sunday June 14 - Passed through five fingers
    3:30 P.M. Passed through Pink Rapids
    4 P,M. Passed through Halls Gate
    7:30 P.M. Take on Wood (Roberts birthday)

Monday June 15 - Arrived Dawson 12:00 noon stop at Klondyk Hotel Rob & CBW takes Dawson in it is larger than I expected.

Tuesday June 16 - Buy boat & outfit leave Daws.
    4 P.M. ate first meal cooked by us on Yukon at 8:30 P.M. 21 miles down river.

Wednesday June 17 - Arrived at Eagle 3P.M. Start for Alder Gulch 10 P.M. read, letter from Agnes & Pa & Ma (wade creek)

Thursday June 18 - Camp out arrived at mines 8 P.M. and made our beds out of spruce boughs (light all time)

Friday June 19 - Had flap jacks for breakfast done some representing

Saturday June 20 -Still on Alder Gulch just below us 30 men are working putting in flum for Hydraulicing American Creek.
