E-mail

e-mail is "lbutler@lsu.edu". Please start subject field with "CHEM1201" or similar to get past anti-spam filters. I usually respond within 24 hrs. Last semester, I replied to more than 1100 student e-mails. The e-mail suggestions are:
1) Include your name in the message. I don't answer unidentified messages.
2) Don't worry about grammar or spelling. Please try to be detailed with your questions so that one e-mail will answer your question. It's more efficient and useful for you.

Office Hours

Office is 329 Choppin Hall, office phone is 578-4416. E-mail or call for an appointment. Lately, I've been at the LSU synchrotron (CAMD) or the CCT, so e-mail is best.
Also, office hours will be posted on the class web site, typically with about 1-2 days advance notice.
